SOS Barnbyar and Remotion in Strategic Partnership – Enhancing Data-Driven Donor Communication

Remotion and SOS Barnbyar Sweden have embarked on a long-term partnership to improve communication with donors. The goal is to make the campaigns even more relevant and effective.

The foundation for this partnership began in 2024 when Remotion conducted a preliminary study focused on mapping the current situation and creating a future vision for data-driven communication. The organization has long used email, SMS, and direct mail, but saw the need to increase personalization and proactivity for even greater impact.

We wanted to know what capabilities and investments are needed to evolve digitally, become more efficient, and improve in our feedback and value creation for our donors. The preliminary study gave us a plan with clear actions to tackle and a business case that now supports our ongoing work, says Johan Röisland, Head of Private Fundraising at SOS Barnbyar.

The preliminary study looked at the entire process from collecting donations to building donor loyalty, both digitally and offline. The focus is on improving personalization, campaign management, and data analysis.

Since then, the collaboration has deepened further. Remotion has supported SOS Barnbyar by:

  • Developing a content strategy for digital channels

  • Establishing full-funnel work in performance marketing

  • Conducting an analysis and value segmentation of the donor database

  • Leading procurement and implementing a Customer Data Platform
